Doctrinal Statement1. We believe in the verbal, plenary, inspiration of the Scriptures, Old and New Testaments, in the original documents and that they are the infallible revelation of God and the final, supreme authority for faith and life. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)2. We believe that God, as to His nature, exists in tri-unity; that there are three eternally existing, co-equal, Divine Persons in the Godhead (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) and these three are one God. (Matt. 28:19)3. We believe that Jesus Christ, who was in the presence of God from eternity past, was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is true God, and true man. (John 1:1-19)4. a. We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred, not only physical death, but also that spiritual death which is eternal separation from God, resulting in everlasting punishment in the lake of fire; that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and, in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, sin, in thought, word, and deed. (John 3:1-21; Romans 3:10, 23 - 5:12)b. We believe that the only way to be eternally saved is by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and in His blood atonement, death and resurrection. Those that are thus saved are His sheep, of whom He says, "they shall never perish, neither shall any (man) pluck them out of my hand." (John 10:28)c. We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again (regenerated) of the Holy Spirit, and thereby become children of God; that they are indwelt and sealed by the Holy Spirit and are so secured unto the day of redemption. (Romans 10:9-13; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20)5. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice and that all who believe in Him are justified on the basis of His shed blood. (Romans 3:24-26; 1 Corinthians 15:3)6. We believe that the church of Jesus Christ was begun at Pentecost (Acts 2), is composed solely of believers, is the Body and Bride of our Lord, is distinct from Israel, and that it is to be completed through the winning of lost souls to Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13)7. a. We believe that Jesus Christ instituted the Lord"s Supper to commemorate His death until He returns. (1 Corinthians 11:23-29; Mark 14:22-26) b. We believe that water baptism has no saving merit, it is an ordained testimony, portraying the believer"s union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection and is to be practiced in this age. (Matt. 28:18-20; Matt. 26:26-29; 1 Cor. 11:23-29). The mode of baptism pacticed by this assembly shall be immersion.8. We believe that Christ may, at any time, return to receive the saints into Heaven (which is known as the "rapture" of the Church) after which shall follow the Tribulation period of approximately seven years. Christ then will return to the earth with His saints, to rule for one-thousand years (Millennial Reign), after which the wicked will be judged and cast into the lake of fire. (1 Thes. 4:13-18; Daniel 9:27; Rev. 19:11; Matt. 24:15-21, 27)9. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, both the saved and the lost, in the eternal conscious punishment of the lost, and the eternal blessedness and joy of the saved. (John 5:25-29; 1 Corinthians 15:1-28; Rev. 20:11-15; 22:12-14)10. We believe that Satan, a fallen angel, is the god of this age, the adversary of Christ and His church and that his destiny is eternal punishment in the lake of fire. (Job 1:7; Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:12-19; 2 Corinthians 4:3-4; Revelation 20:10)

Neither of us knew that our Lancaster Bible College orientation would mean so much. However, a close friendship developed, and after graduation from LBC, we were married in 2006. Josh had been out of school for a few years, working in various positions, and Sarah headed right into teaching. Though we both shared the same passion to lead children and teens to the Lord, seeing them grow into young men and women who love Jesus. It was this shared desire that made serving at Mill Creek a natural fit. We've been blessed to see lives changed for Christ, and have been so very impacted by the work of God's Holy Spirit. We are excited for what the future holds- as we learn and grow daily with the blessing of our first child, Lily Kathryn, born in March of 2010. We anticipate great things as God continues to challenge our hearts.1 Thessalonians 2:8 (NLT)We loved you so much that we shared with you not only God’s Good News but our own lives, too.
Family is what Mill Creek is all about. Family means relationships, togetherness, caring, supporting, laughing, and crying. We believe all Christians are brothers and sisters in Christ and our desire is to live that way. Our men’s and women’s Bible studies, youth group, Kids Extravaganzas, pot luck dinners, small groups, picnics, outreach events and anything else we do are all designed to support, grow, and teach Biblical family values so that all we do and say brings honor and glory to our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. As with any family we are not perfect; but we do strive to clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, and above all, love.** Bible Studies for Men & Ladies-Thursday evenings, 7:00pm @ MCBC! **
Jason is originally from Harford county Maryland, though he now lives in Marietta with his wife, Melissa and their two children, Luke and Emma. Jason was raised in a Christian and musical home. During those formative years, the two aspects of living the life of a Christ follower and serving through music ministry had a profound effect on, or shall we say preparation for, the path set before him. Jason grew up seeing his father and older sisters travel the east coast with their southern gospel singing group and learned firsthand the commitment, dedication, and sense of service needed to successfully minister through music. “I truly feel that God has directed my path into leading His people in worship. I sensed the calling during my teenage years to use the gifts and abilities God has given me to further His Kingdom.” A defining moment took place when Jason became aware that he could use his passion for rock-style guitar playing to serve God and His Church. Jason joined his first band in 1999 and has played in various Christian/Worship bands ever since. “I have never been driven by a desire to perform for an audience, but to see that audience walk away changed by the power of God. It has long been a burden on my heart that every minute people are being reached, affected, and changed by something, and many times for the worse. It is my desire to aid in the eternal significance of bringing the Gospel to people so that the Gospel is what reaches, affects, and changes their lives for the better.” Jason’s experiences in both traditional and contemporary worship styles, and being able to blend the two, have proven to be beneficial for his service at Mill Creek Bible Church. Attending MCBC since April of 2006, he accepted the position of worship leader in June of 2006. Subsequently, in October of 2008, he took on the role of Director of Worship and Creative Arts. “The arts are valuable to God or He would not have created them! God, the Master Creator, has given many of us creative abilities, and I believe we have those gifts for a purpose. My desire is that MCBC would be a place where the arts are celebrated and shared as a means to worship the Almighty God and edify His people.”
A favorite quote of mine is: “If you don’t know where you’re going, you might end up somewhere else.” These past few years are the first years in my life that I truly have not known where I was going because I am finally beginning to follow God instead of trying to control things myself. My passion is teaching and equipping people of all ages to become fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ. My prayer and desire is to help people see that there is truly nothing more important in their lives than their personal relationship with God. The journey God has taken me on includes 4 years of active duty in the United States Air Force, 7 years performing with the 553rd Pa Air National Guard Band, a BS in Mathematics Secondary Education from Millersville University, a Master of Arts in Ministry-Pastoral Studies from Lancaster Bible College, 9 years as a youth pastor at Salem Evangelical Church of Voganville, Pa. and now pastor of Mill Creek Bible Church, a truly wonderful community of people. I thank God for His grace and mercy and for providing me with my wonderful wife Sandi and two fantastic children, Gillian and Ben. What breaks my heart? Seeing saved and unsaved people alike missing out on the joy and peace that is available each and everyday thru Christ Jesus. What are my hobbies? I love spending time with my family, especially our vacations at Ocean City, New Jersey. I also enjoy photography, baseball, soccer, listening to music and sleeping on my sofa. What is my favorite thing to do? I love to laugh and to make people laugh. Next to God, laughter truly is the best medicine.
